Hawaiian waka to return 40 years after sparking revival of Māori ocean voyaging

Forty years after the rebirth of Māori ocean voyaging, the Hawaiian canoe Hōkūle’a is due back at Waitangi on an epic, 80,000km voyage around the Pacific.
