Top news photos of 2020
You can say a lot about 2020 but you can’t say it was short of news. As well as the Covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdown we had iwi-led road blocks, Waitangi Day commemorations, an election campaign, record-breaking rainfall, floods and fires. I’ve picked out some of my favourite news photos from the past year as well as a few images which I just happen to like. Most of these pictures were published originally in the Northern Advocate.
